My RVR gets 13/100 if I baby it. If I thrash it.. worse. My VR4? Ah, a bit more power, but it's tuned better. More like 10 if I baby it, if I thrash it.. er.. 20? Maybe more. Who cares, its a performance car. Fuel economy is not something you should be concerned with :P

is this boosting everywhere? I've heard evo's have a 48 Litre tank.. so thats 12L less you've got.?. but that only would get you an extra 100kms.

My R34 with 240kw would get me 550-600km outta balance of 60 litres with casual/nice driving.. with the occasional right foot =)

I'm seriously looking at an evo.. but if fuel economy is like 16/100kms.. then maybe I'll look at a v8 twin turbo instead.. *trollface*

Fuel economy is pretty bad with the EVO's.
300-350kms a tank is pretty standard in the EVO's 5-8, they are a small tank. I get that around town in my TME & more on a long trip. But that's expected with any car.
You do get more out of the EVO IX's but they have a bigger tank. (55ltr I think)

But as it has been mentioned, a good/new 02 sensor makes a HUGE difference.

In both stock and modified form, I get consistently around 420kms from a tank (bit more if i'm gentle, and a bit less if i'm not). Far better than the consumption i got from either my 32 or 33 GTR's.

it's been awhile since I remember writing this topic...

I just cant believe how crappy the fuel consumption is for these 4 cylinder evo's... My Toyota chaser 6cyl got 10lts per 100km's! And manual ones are better.

Love to get a nice evo viii MR but now thinking of another 6cyl turbo.. any suggestions fellas?

I get about 12l/100km on my Evo 9 and that's with a bit of peak hour traffic driving as well.. Easily at least 400km per tank

Edit: 220 awkw.

I think a good tune makes a big difference to your power and fuel economy

oh, I forgot to mention mine makes 311kw at the wheels and runs on E-Flex, hence the low km's per tank lol
